As New York scales up its “Reforming the Energy Vision (REV)” activities, the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) has published a new Energy Exchange blog on lessons New York energy regulators can take from their British counterparts, who have introduced the RIIO model in recent years. EDF’s blog cites the recent Guarini Center roundtable discussion on this topic as well as the accompanying primer on utility regulation in the UK as “a great starting point for New Yorkers and other American stakeholders looking to understand the basic mechanics of this alternative approach to regulating utility companies.”
