Sergey Sitnikov, Ph.D., is focusing on climate change, carbon markets and related aspects of energy law. Sergey has worked on these issues since 2004. In 2005 he established and co-headed the Climate Change & Energy Efficiency practice in the Moscow office of Baker McKenzie. Among other things, Sergey participated in designing the legal framework related to the establishment of the carbon cap-and-trade system in Russia. His advice is often sought by businesses and policymakers when it comes to climate regulation and emissions trading. Registered observer at the 3rd meeting of the Article 6.4 Supervisory Body, COP27.
