This fellowship is designed for promising NYU law students with an interest in energy and environmental law policy. The Fellow will be expected to produce a series of written papers directed at both policy and academic audiences; to assist in convening workshops, talks and conferences; and to engage energy policy leaders and constituencies in the New York region as well as elsewhere within NYU. In addition to excellent research and writing skills, the Fellow should possess an ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas that map out practical ways for implementation, and work as part of a team. Prior coursework and professional experience in environmental and/or energy issues is valued, but not essential.
The Fellow will be appointed for a one-year period beginning on or about February 19th and will receive a $10,000 stipend over the course of the year. All current 1L and 2L students are eligible to apply.
Interested applicants should send: (1) cover letter; (2) resume; and (3) transcript (unofficial is fine) to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include “Student Fellowship” in the subject of the email. Applications are due by February 5. Only candidates of interest will be contacted.
